What Does Premium Do in Bloxburg? – Simple Explanation

Welcome to Bloxburg is one of the most popular Roblox games of all time and much of that comes from the sheer customization that is possible in the experience. There are so many features, systems, and even Game Passes that it has some players wondering what does Premium does in Bloxburg?

This is a great question since the Roblox experience itself does not do a great job of explaining this add-on within the game. To help answer the question “what does Premium do in Bloxburg?”, we have come up with a full guide to the features that Bloxburg Premium includes if you should get it, and the cost associated with it.

Bottom Line Up Front

The gist of Bloxburg Premium is that it is one of seven Game Passes that you can purchase within Welcome to Bloxburg. As a Game Pass, it costs 400 Robux to purchase, or roughly $5 in real-world money, and is tied for the most expensive Game Pass in Bloxburg.

That said, there are several features that you get with this Game Pass, including a higher donation limit for giving money to other players, a nametag to show off, the ability to choose your land spot, cheaper house bills, and better daily rewards.

What Is Bloxburg Premium?

Premium

Welcome to Bloxburg is a massive Roblox experience and this comes with a ton of features that are included in it. From the insanely deep aspect of building out your plot of land to working a job, there is so much out there to this game. Bloxburg Premium is one element that can be hidden deep within the menus and, therefore, confusing for some players.

At its core, Bloxburg Premium is a Game Pass, which is an optional service that you can purchase within a Roblox experience. These typically cost Robux, which are, in turn, acquired with real-world currency, and will offer a selection of features that are helpful within the game.

This is also one way that you can support the Roblox developer who made the game you are playing while also getting something in return. Having a Game Pass in Bloxburg might seem a bit weird compared to other Roblox games since it is one of the few experiences that is locked behind a paywall, to begin with, but Premium is not at all required to enjoy the game.

I had saved more than $1 million in money in Bloxburg before I ever bought Premium or any of the other Game Passes that are offered in this game. You can certainly enjoy your experience without ever touching this Game Pass but it is here for the diehard players who want more out of their gameplay.

Bloxburg Premium is, as it states in the title, a premium service that will be useful to a handful of players who regularly play the game. It is not really for those who sometimes check out Bloxburg but for the dedicated players who feel like they are not getting enough out of the game.

Fortunately, it is a Game Pass that is a permanent purchase, meaning that once you buy Premium, you are good to go for the rest of your journey in Bloxburg. You will always have access to all of the features that are available for this Game Pass and never have to worry about buying it again.

Better yet, you will benefit from all of the future features that could be added to the Game Pass later down the road. It has already been revealed that Bloxburg Premium will likely have new features in the future and, if you already own it beforehand, you will benefit from those as soon as they launch.

Bloxburg Premium Cost

Bloxburg Premium Cost

The cost for purchasing Bloxburg Premium is 400 Robux. That is equivalent to around $5 and you will be able to keep this feature forever once you have paid once. It is not a recurring monthly fee or anything like that, that you need to worry about once you’ve paid the upfront price.

The cost for Premium puts it tied with the Stereo, another Game Pass in Bloxburg, for the most expensive permanent pass that you can buy in the game. The others are cheaper than this one so you are paying a premium to get the features that are included in it.

While the price for Premium is 400 Robux right now, there is a chance that it could increase in the future. This is speculation on our part since it has not been ever noted by the Bloxburg creator but it has been revealed in the past that Premium could change someday.

Unlike the other Game Passes that are set in stone, Premium will likely have new or different features that will be added to it someday. It is unknown what these features are but changing up the pass could result in it rising in price at that point.

As such, if you make sure to get in now and buy Premium while it is at 400 Robux, if it ever does increase, you will be able to benefit from all of the existing and new features without paying any more cash for it.

Features List

Several different features are available to Bloxburg Premium owners. What makes this such a premium experience is the fact that you get numerous add-ons for your Bloxburg character whereas most of the other Game Passes only focus on a single aspect of the game.

In total, there are six main features that you will get when you purchase Bloxburg Premium. Here is the full list of them:

  • Nametag
  • Plot location selection
  • Better daily rewards
  • Cheaper house bills
  • Higher donation limit
  • Premium trophy

Some of those features are pretty self-explanatory while others are a bit more complex. We are going to break down every single one of these features and what you should know about them, so you make an informed decision on whether or not Bloxburg Premium is right for you.

Premium Nametag

First and foremost, there is the Premium nametag that you will have attached to your name when you are playing Bloxburg. Similar to tags in other Roblox experiences, this will be before your username in the game and make it clear to everyone in the chat and leaderboard that you are an owner of Premium.

There are a lot of players who like to have that elite status next to their name in each Roblox game that they play for a variety of reasons. For one, it looks cool and makes you look cool while others simply want to flaunt their status and own it. If you want to do the same in Bloxburg, Premium is the way to go.

You will not get the Premium status next to your name in Bloxburg with any of the other Game Passes that the experience offers. So, if you want to show off properly, this is the only way to do it in the game. That said, the nametag is both a blessing and a curse.

While it might be fun to show off your status to everyone in your lobby, it can be a problem since everyone will know that you spent real money on the game and you have a higher donation limit (more on that feature in a bit). This will lead to many players begging and harassing you for money, access to your house, and so on.

This is a huge problem in Bloxburg and having this nametag will put a target on your head for the beggars out there in the community. Fortunately, there is an option in the settings to disable the nametag so you are not required to deal with it if you don’t want to.

Choosing Your Plot Location

One of the greatest benefits of Premium is the ability to choose your plot of land. What is weird about Bloxburg is that, when you log into a lobby, your plot of land is chosen for you. There are many different plots on the map and, unfortunately, this could place you anywhere in the neighborhood.

To make matters worse, there are two different neighborhoods with one on each side of the map. You could be split up from your friends, which does not sound like a big deal since you can meet up, but you can move slowly at times in Bloxburg. This is especially true if you are newer and do not have the money yet for a vehicle of your own.

Being able to choose your plot of land when you log into a match will ensure that you can select your location and be right next to your friends. This can even be helpful for solo players since you can pick the prime spot you prefer, perhaps closest to Main Street, so long as someone else has not already selected it.

Daily Rewards

Daily rewards

Daily rewards are an aspect of Bloxburg that anyone can enjoy. Similar to mobile games, there is a daily login reward that you get for just hopping into the game. This usually comes in the form of money for use in Bloxburg but you can even get some Blockbux at the same time.

Usually, the daily rewards are pretty meager and do little to help the player out since the amounts are so small. That said, having Bloxburg Premium will enhance the daily rewards that you can get for logging in by doubling the amount that you can get.

With Premium, every single day, players will have the chance of receiving up to 40 Blockbux or even $3,600. Of course, it is worth noting that this is all RNG-based so there is no telling what you will get. That said, you will quickly earn more from daily logins this way than you would without Premium. This is not one of the best rewards for the service but a nice little extra at least.

What Are Blockbux for?

Speaking of Blockbux, this is a special currency that is only in Bloxburg. There are two main currencies that you have to worry about in the game, being regular dollars and the Blockbux. Dollars are earned by working a job and can be used for a variety of activities, including building, buying a vehicle, paying bills, and so on.

That said, Blockbux is a more premium currency that is earned usually through purchasing it with Robux. This more special type of money will allow you to buy vehicles, housing items, decorations, and more that you are not able to get with the normal Bloxburg dollars.

If you want the most exclusive items in the game, getting Premium can help you to earn Blockbux faster and help you to get the motorcycle and other exclusives. Blockbux is not a requirement for playing the game but Premium can help with saving via daily login rewards a bit easier.

Cheaper House Bills

One of the most important aspects of the Premium service in Bloxburg is the ability to lower the cost of your housing. The game is fairly realistic in the fact that you have to pay bills on your property, like the lighting, water, and so on. These are automatically taken out of your current cash every so often.

If you choose not to pay your bills or simply do not have the money for it, you will run out of electricity, water, and so on just like real life. What this means is that you will have a house to live in but nothing to do there. You will not be able to use the shower to clean yourself, cook food, or enjoy the fruits of your labor.

At the start of the game, the housing costs are pretty minimal as it is only around 0.6% of the value of your property. When you have a pretty small starter home in the game, this means only a couple hundred to even a few thousand dollars every once in a while. It’s not much as you can earn pretty quickly.

The problem, though, is when you start to build the mansion of your dreams or a cityscape or an apartment complex; whatever you want. These elaborate creations will cost a lot of money to build and that small percentage will suddenly become a significant number.

Take, for instance, if you have a massive complex that is worth $10 million. Suddenly, you are paying $60,000 every few minutes in the game. This will add up very quickly and it can be a problem, especially if you do not have the time to work all the time and save. Fortunately, Premium helps with that by cutting your bills in half permanently.

Higher Donation Limit

The other main element of Premium that makes it worth the purchase is the higher donation limit. This may seem like a weird feature but it is a helpful one, especially for certain types of players. In Bloxburg, you can donate money to someone to get them started or just help them out.

Without Premium, you are only able to donate up to $10,000 at one time to a single player. The problem with this is that you cannot just infinitely give $10,000 nonstop until the person has enough. There is a cooldown that prevents you from constantly giving money and you have to wait a while before you can do it again.

While Premium does not remove the cooldown, unfortunately, it does at least up to the max donation that you can give to someone to $50,000 at once. This is considerably more and that amount of money can help someone out who is new to the game.

This is useful for role-players who like to hand out money to their “kids” in the game or just help out the newer players. This is also great for someone like me who plays with family members and likes to share their wealth so that everyone can have access to nice housing and items.

$50,000 is a pretty good amount that will allow someone to not only build a nice house with a few options but could even use that money to buy their first car unlike the measly $10,000 that is not enough for that.

Premium Trophy Item

Lastly, this is a minor bonus for the Premium but there is a special trophy decoration item that you get when you purchase this Game Pass. You can set it up on your property and show off to everyone that you are a Premium user. This is not the most useful part of Premium but a nice way to show off at least in the game.

Other Game Passes in Bloxburg

Bloxburg Premium is but one of many different Game Passes that are available in the game. It has some of the most Game Passes out of any Roblox experience with a whopping seven in total. While this is mainly focused on the Premium side, here is the full list of all seven of them:

  • Premium
  • Stereo
  • Excellent Employee
  • Multiple Floors
  • Large Plot
  • Advanced Placing
  • Basement

You already know about Premium but Stereo is another Game Pass that also costs 400 Robux. This one unlocks the radio for users in their vehicles and even places like the club in town. The radio is great since it allows you to play your custom music.

If you know Roblox’s controversial way of handling music, then you know that if a song exists, it is already in the database. This means that you would be able to cruise around Bloxburg with your friends, jamming to the latest hits out there.

Excellent Employee is one of the most versatile and helpful Game Passes in the game since it is perfect for the hard workers out there for 300. This will allow you to get promoted faster and earn more money overall from your jobs. The higher levels of a job can grant you some solid cash so this will only help you to always have a pocket full of money.

Multiple Floors is up next also for 300 Robux and simply gives you the option to make more than one floor of your house. Initially, players can only build on the first floor but this gives you access up to five floors to build with, maximizing your plot usage.

Speaking of your plot of land, Large Plot costs 250 and will expand your plot of land to a 50×50 grid, making it possible to build even grander houses and locations. Advanced Placing is 200 and it is great for complex builders, letting you place items in ways you would not be able to otherwise, put items inside of one another, and resize things, too.

Lastly, there is the cheapest Game Pass option for 100 and that is Basement. This one is simple enough: it lets you build a basement floor underneath the first floor.

Is Premium the Best Game Pass in Bloxburg?

Welcome to Bloxburg

With all seven of the Game Passes now detailed, it is time to answer the question: is Premium the best among them all, and is it right for you? This will differ for each person but, I think that Premium is not the best at all and several Game Passes are, ultimately, better than it.

For the high price, you do get a lot of features but they only help out certain players and lack the usefulness of some of the other options. For one, I would rather spend my 400 Robux on the Stereo Game Pass if I had to choose since the ability to play music is more interesting to me. I did buy the Stereo before I ever got Premium.

Excellent Employee is another great Game Pass that is cheaper than Premium. It enhances your work ethic and makes you earn more money, potentially ruling out the need for cheaper house bills if you can make enough to save up real fast.

Then there is the plethora of building Game Passes that are much more useful in my opinion. If you’re a builder, you’re better off spending money on the Multiple Floors, Large Plot, and other building options than buying the Premium one. It has little to do with houses beside the trophy and lower bills, but that only does so much in the end.

Overall, I would say that Premium is far from the best Game Pass in Bloxburg in my opinion but still a good option if most of the features work for you.

FAQs

Question: Is Bloxburg Premium Worth It?

Answer: Bloxburg Premium is worth it for the right player. It is not for everyone and it will not benefit everyone as much. For myself, for example, it is not my favorite nor the best Game Pass for me. As I mentioned in the comparison above, the Stereo, Excellent Employee, and building Game Passes are much more useful for me.

However, if you are intent on building the largest and most extravagant estates possible, this could be useful for you. This is because your house bills can be insanely high and cutting them in half will help with that. Also, if you are someone who likes to show off their status or benefit from the utmost daily rewards every day, it could be for you.

Finally, I think that Bloxburg Premium is worth it for those players who like to mentor and play with newcomers or show the game off to family and friends.

With newer players, the learning curve and challenge of earning money is very difficult at first, so being able to donate more money to these newer players can get them started on the journey to being self-sufficient and enjoying the game more. If you’re not interested in these features, it may not be for you.

Question: How long does Bloxburg Premium last?

Answer: As mentioned earlier in this guide, Bloxburg Premium is a permanent Game Pass feature. Once you throw down the 400 Robux to purchase this optional service in Welcome to Bloxburg, you are guaranteed to keep it for the rest of your days in the city.

This should be even true if the price, for some reason, ever increases due to new features and the like. You should never have to worry about buying the Game Pass ever again or spending extra currency to keep it as part of your collection in Bloxburg.

Question: Does Bloxburg Premium Give You Multiple Floors?

Answer: No, it does not give you multiple floors. Bloxburg Premium does almost nothing for builders in the game except for halving the cost of housing bills and the cool trophy, and that is it. If you want to build multiple floors on your plot of land, you will need to purchase the Multiple Floors Game Pass.

The Multiple Floors Game Pass is another optional add-on that lets you build up to five floors up on your plot but it costs 300 Robux, which is only a little bit cheaper than Premium.

Question: How do You Get Free Bloxburg Premium?

Answer: Since the arrival of Bloxburg Premium and Game Passes in Welcome to Bloxburg, there has not been a moment where Premium has been given away for free. And there will likely never be a time where it is given away for free, outside of maybe a giveaway from the developer on Twitter or the like but even that is not likely.

If you see someone who is offering free Bloxburg Premium to you, it is absolutely, 100% a scam and you should turn away immediately. Do not give them personal information, do not give them Robux, and do not engage with them at all. There are far too many scammers out there trying to take advantage of kids and newcomers, so please be careful.

If you want Bloxburg Premium, you will simply need Robux. There are also no free ways of getting Robux so avoid the countless scams associated with this as well. If it sounds too good to be true, know that it likely is and the cost of attempting that scam will not be worth the Premium you probably won’t get in return.

Roblox has occasionally given out free Robux as an apology for an issue with the game or if it is down for too long but this is automatically given to your account; you do not need to do anything to earn it. That is why you must know that any legitimate way of earning free Robux will not require anything on your part.

If you are someone who is tight on money or are a kid, please be sure to ask your parents or guardian for Robux to purchase Premium the right way. If they are unable to do that for you, perhaps, you will be able to ask for Robux gift cards on your birthday or another special holiday occasion.

For players who love playing Welcome to Bloxburg regularly, the Premium Game Pass is one feature that you might be interested in.
