Roblox is one of the most popular games in the world due to how diverse, and customizable its game modes are. They can be appealing to people from a wide variety of age groups, and some of them are truly awesome mods.
Today I will be giving you a tutorial on one such mod known as the Conquerors 3 map in Roblox. The mod has around 75 million visits and 500k favorites on the official Roblox website. The mod thus receives a lot of support and has a wide variety of maps for all the different game modes.
In this guide, I will be discussing some of the most popular Conquerors 3 maps available for each game mode.
Conquest is the most popular game mode and enjoys the most amount and diversity of maps produced for it. Here I will be looking at a few of the most popular maps and get acquainted with some general tactics that you should try to recreate in any game where you get the chance for it.
The map titled fantasy 2 is available for both 3v3 and 4v4 gameplay in the conquest game mode. There are a total of 14 energy crystals scattered symmetrically on both sides and 4 oil spots for setting up oil rigs around the map. It has an income limit of 260 in place.
As you can see, the map features both naval and land areas. However, the most important and dominant region is definitely the land region, as it covers most of the map. The island can be thought of as a circle with a mountain ridge encircling it and running down the middle to separate the island into two halves. The middle of the island is also littered with a lot of tier 2 and tier 3 terrain that would require aerial units as well. There is an opening on two opposite sides of the mountain encirclement, and they give way to the beaches. These opening form the all-important choke points that players should definitely be utilizing.
For this map, I recommend you set up your base on top of the mountains in the middle as they are hard to reach without transport troops and are also protected at the sides by the narrow ridge, which will be easier to defend. It also has 4 surrounding energy crystals and will provide steady income. Take full advantage of the choke points and set your defenses around them. Land mines placed at the entrances will demolish your opponent’s attacking forces. On the naval side of things, try to capture at least 2 of the available oil spots. Aircraft carriers may serve as an effective tool to catch your opponent off guard with surprise air raids.
The map titled continent is available for both 3v3 and 2v2v2 game modes. There are a total of 16 energy crystals scattered across the map and 4 oil spots to set up oil rigs on. The map has an income limit of 290.
The map is divided into 3 land sections. One giant continent-style land mass in the middle and two smaller plain islands on either side of the giant island. The smaller islands are plain and feature little to no terrain besides beaches. This can prove useful in setting up naval bases. The main island features various amounts of terrain and a lot of narrow ridges. Players should always keep the terrain in mind when setting up defenses.
You may be tempted to set up your base on the islands, but I would strongly recommend against this because the islands are small and will make expansion difficult. Furthermore, they only have one energy crystal each which would gut your income even with multiple oil rigs. Thus, I recommend setting up your base on one of the highest mountains on the main island, as the natural geography will make attacking you more difficult. Furthermore, you should utilize the abundance of narrow gorges to set up traps for your enemies and catch them at choke points.
Desert vs Grass
The Desert vs Grass map is one of the most popular series of Conquest 3 maps. This map is playable for 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5 conquest modes. The map has 12 regular crystals and 8 super crystals scattered around it. Super crystals double the income buildings stationed at it generate. There are 6 oil spots available for your oil rigs. Consequently, it also has a very high-income limit of 490.
The map, as the name suggests, features two sides separated by a very high ridge diagonally down the middle. One side features grassy islands, while the other features more sandy desert-like islands. There are six smaller island lines on each side of the ridge, with one large island in both corners featuring a mountain elevation. A large amount of water and the need to travel across it makes naval units indispensable to playing this map.
The safest spots to set up your bases are definitely the mountain elevations in the back. They are located at corners and thus can’t be flanked. They have natural protection from the terrain and a lack of slopes to allow enemies easy access. There is a good amount of crystals nearby and even oil rigs that will allow you to expand your navy quickly. Speaking of the navy, if you wish to set up safe and efficient naval bases on this map, it would be best to prioritize the 4 small border islands around the map. Naval mines are also highly effective due to the nature of the choke points.
Two Islands Map
The Two Islands map is fit for 3v3 and 2v2v2 Conquest game modes. The map features both land and water. The map has 14 crystals spread across both islands evenly. It does not have any oil spots available to set up oil rigs on. It also has an income limit of only 220.
The map is cleanly divided into, as the name suggests, two islands. Both these islands have a rectangular shape and very lengthy coastlines. They also feature a lot of mountain terrain with slightly different patterns on each island. The crystals are also quite spread out. What is surprising is the lack of oil spots despite the abundance of water. Players will require aerial or naval transport units to move their troops across the two islands.
This map actually has one of the best locations to set up your base in out of all the maps in the Conquerors 3. The bottom right crystal located on the top island is the ideal location to set up your base at. Not only does it have natural terrain protection because it is located at a higher altitude, but it is also very close to the sea, allowing you to expand your naval forces without too much investment. The map also has a very long coastline, so you do not have to worry about getting landlocked.
Free For All Maps
Free For All is a fairly popular game mode and enjoys a lot of gameplay. These maps usually have higher income caps and are much more chaotic to play in. Since it’s a battle royale, these maps are generally harder to balance, and I see a shortage of these types relative to the others.
Cave Map 2
Cave map 2 is a map for the free for all game mode. The map features both land and water. The map has 12 crystals and 7 super crystals scattered all over the various island segments. It also has 6 oil spots available for setting up oil rigs on. Consequently, the map has a very high income limit of 460.
The map is adjusted for Free for All play and tries to give all players an equal start. It has a circular middle island that has two levels of elevation to prevent players from attacking each other too quickly. There are then 6 edges of the island, each for one player. These also have their own small elevated platforms. There are gaps of water between each edge, and you will need transport units to move across. There are also a total of 6 smaller islands dotted across the map.
For this map, the best location to set up your defenses would be on one of your own little edges. That won’t be enough by itself, so also make sure to take control of a super crystal for yourself. Setting your base up on one of the smaller elevations on your edge will give it terrain protection and make it much harder for enemies to reach. You can also start expanding your naval forces immediately from there. The smaller islands may come in handy for setting up a naval port. You can set up naval mines to make traversal even harder for your enemies. The key is not to get caught in a pincer attack from your enemies from both sides as this will make it difficult for you to survive. Instead, try to flank any enemy alreadypreoccupiedd in combat with another opponent.
Magma 4 is the Free For All version of the magma series of maps. The map has no bodies of water and instead has unique magma stage hazards. Like all FFA maps, it features many crystals. There are 12 crystals and 6 super crystals scattered around the map. There are no oil spots due to a lack of water. The income limit is fairly high as it is capped at 370.
The map takes shape similar to what one might expect from a volcanic region. A variety of elevated terrains are littered across the map, with the highest one being located in the center. This is a good balancing decision as it is both the most powerful spot but will attract the attention of many attackers. The rest of the map takes the shape of a valley surrounding a mountain with elevation on all sides. Lava hazards are also scattered around every quadrant of the map, and players should be careful with these.
For this map, I would recommend trying to take over the bottom left section of the map as it enjoys access to two multiple choke points. This will make defense much easier for you. The crystals are also in relatively closer proximity when compared to all the other locations, and you do not have to worry about magma hazards too much. Furthermore, the elevated terrain surrounding you will make early flanks difficult for your opponent. If possible, you should set your base at a slight elevation near the bottom left and try to capture as many crystals as possible early. Do this until you’re powerful enough to take control of the central area.
Territory Conquest Maps
Territory Conquest as a game mode requires holding specific points on the map as a team. Thus, the maps are generally cleanly divided and are quite well designed.
Territory Conquest Map 4
This map is a land-only map and features no bodies of water. It also has 12 crystals evenly scattered on both sides of the map and has an income limit of 190.
The map geography is quite simple. It is a flat piece of land with 4 platforms evenly spaced in each quadrant of the square. A tall ridge separates the middle with 2 openings on either side to create an open center. This center is one of the key locations, and the team that is able to establish control over it will have the advantage. These openings also form narrow pathways that can serve as excellent choke points.
Territory Conquest is all about taking the initiative and establishing strong defenses. The central part of the map is the most important region to take control of. It will allow you to hold down choke points and prevent your enemies from leaking over to your side without the usage of expensive transport vehicles. So, you and your team should try to reach and control the central area as soon as possible. If you do not have enough funds to set up a decent defense to hold, consider laying down traps such as land mines to prevent your enemy from doing the same. Alternatively, you could also try to catch your opponent off guard with well timed and coordinated flanking charges.
Territory Conquest Map 3
This territory conquest map features both land and water regions. It has a total of 16 crystals around the map and around 4 oil spots for setting up your oil rigs. It also has an income limit of 290, which is relatively higher than other territory conquest maps.
The map has both naval and land features and is split into two boomerang-shaped islands on the top left and bottom right corners. These serve as the initial bases for both teams. A body of water separates them down the middle. This middle section is then littered with 5 smaller islands of varying sizes. Players will have to make use of transport vehicles to traverse these islands. The map is lacking in high terrain, and the only point of elevation on this entire map is the one found on the central island.
For this map, players should prioritize securing their forward operating bases. There are a total of 5 islands to traverse down the middle. Depending on how you choose to use them, these can serve as solid defensive or offensive bases. The team that can secure more of them will be able to mount much stronger offensives and counter-offensives against the enemy team. One way you can terrorize your enemies and leave them with nowhere to go is to launch a surprise attack on the main base on their large island. However, make sure you are not leaving your own main island defenseless. This will be a massive blow to their economy, and the smaller islands are ill-suited for the role of the main base. If your team gains the upper hand, make sure to invest in anti-air units for defending the central island.
Survival is. as the name suggests, the token survival game mode of this mod. Players will join hands to defend against waves of enemies. These maps are usually designed with one central area for you to play and plan around. The streamlined nature of the game mode makes the maps fairly well designed and balanced.
Mars 4 is a survival game mode map. The map has a total of 14 crystals scattered around it, mainly in the central area. It is a land-only map, and thus no oil spots are present. There is an income limit of 220 in place.
The map is shaped like a giant spiderweb with web-like paths extending from and converging to the center area. There is an elevated ridge running down the middle of the map to separate it diagonally. The gaps between the web-like paths also have a lot of elevated areas that give this map the feeling of playing inside a network of narrow gorges.
Remember that nuclear power plants are your best friend in survival mode due to how long these games tend to last. Medics and repairmen will also be very important in providing you with valuable sustainability. Players should set up their command centers in the middle and provide them with solid defenses such as bunkers to soak up damage and anti-air units to deter overhead invasions. A handful of players should also be moving across the map to secure as many crystals as possible. Due to the narrow nature of the gorges and the fact that enemy infantry will be forced to pass through them, you should be using them as effective choke points. Place down bunkers with snipers to deter them. You may also litter these paths with land mines to blow up any enemy units attempting to rush you.
Beaches is a fairly popular survival mode map. The map has 10 regular crystals available. There are also around 4 oil spots available for setting up oil rigs. The income limit on this map is 200.
The map is a body of water primarily covered by 3 lengthy islands. One island runs from the top right to the bottom right. Another runs from the top left to the center of the map which you will be defending. The last one covers the left and bottom regions of the map. All these islands have very simple topography with only one elevation layer in the middle. They are also not interconnected, so you will have to make use of transport troops.
As stated earlier, for survival game modes, it is best to rush as much economic production as you can when the game starts. Build nuclear plants at all the available crystals and have all the players put their command centers down the marked survival area in the middle of the map. Provide these command centers with bunkers and other defensive structures. Furthermore, keep a gap between your command centers to prevent fire spread from enemy fire missiles. Players will need to travel between the islands with their troops to gain access to all the crystals. Do this quickly using navy units as the abundance of beaches makes it easy to set up naval bases. The presence of 4 oil spots is also a good incentive to build your navy hastily. Have your naval forces roam the waters near your command centers for an added layer of protection. Water mines will also serve you exceptionally well here as they can cripple your enemy’s naval forces and transport ships.
